Dear Brother and Sister saints of St. Thomas Aquinas:
In order to return to our Catholic roots and provide an opportunity to celebrate All Hallow’s Eve (the eve of All Saints Day) we celebrated the 2nd Annual Fall-o-ween Celebration coordinated by the Sisters in Christ Ministry on Thursday, Oct 31st .
Thanks are in order for the MANY people who made this possible. First, to our spiritual Leaders, Father Kryzysztof and Father George, both of whom came to support the event, share in the festivities and have fun with us!
Thank you to the Judges for the Chili contest, the Best Costume Contest and the “Table-Trunk or Treat Contest”. We appreciate your time and talent!
Thank you to the Heads and members of each of the 14 different ministries of the parish who did so much to provide a fun and festive night for all!
Each of the 14 ministries decorated a table-trunk and one or two members dressed as a Saint or Holy Person, shared about the life of that Saint with those who visited the “trunk”, and of course…handed out candy! Though all the “trunks” and their “Saints” were amazing, the “Best Table-Trunk Award” went to “Noah” and the Events and Activities Ministry. THANK YOU to ALL of the Ministry Heads and to all of the Ministry members who did such a great job with the Table-Trunks and your costumes. Your contributions helped to make the night amazing!
Thank you to our wonderful Rosary Maker Ministry whose members donated over 100 handmade rosaries which each young saint received in her/his bag, donated by the Sisters in Christ.
Thank you to each of our young saints who dressed up to celebrate the night, learned about the Saints, won prizes and filled up their bags with a ton of candy which they will be eating for months! (Sorry parents!)
A HUGE thank you to all of our parishioners who generously donated candy for the event. You made a lot of little saints very happy! (And the big ones too!)
Thank you to Coach Carlson’s Field of Dreams for providing our young saints with games which they enjoyed and had fun opportunities to play games and win candy!
Thank you to all of the Teen and Adult volunteers who helped with the kitchen, the games and a million other details involved with the event.
None of this could have happened without the planning, creativity and hard work of the members of the Sisters in Christ Fall-o-ween Planning Committee, who worked tirelessly to make the evening a success. They are an amazing group of women who are most definitely Sisters in Christ!
